Prince of Viana Prize for

Solidarity 2011

The Prince of Viana Prize for Solidarity is awarded by the Regional Government of Navarre and Caja Laboral to recognise the work carried out by institutions, non-government organisations and individuals from any country with outstanding achievements in the area of International Development Cooperation, particularly contributions to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.

This Prize is remunerated with €40,000 and the deadline to present nominations is 11st February 2011. The recipient must accept this prize at an official ceremony that will take place in Navarre (Spain). Candidates can come from any country in the world and must be proposed by: members of the Navarre Council for Culture; public institutions (national or regional governments, ministries, local councils, universities, academies and research centres, embassies, consulates), legally constituted educational, cultural or social entities, non-governmental organisations or figures invited to submit nominations by the organisers, as well as members of the jury.
