Prince of Viana Prize for

Culture 2011

The Prince of Viana International Prize for Culture is awarded annually by the Government of Navarre, recognising the achievements of a prominent figure or entity in the fields of literary creation, the plastic and performing arts, architecture and scientific and technical research. This Prize was set up in 1990 and since its fourth edition in 1993 it has been presented by HRH, Don Felipe de Borbón, the Prince of Asturias and Viana. The recipient must accept this prize at an official ceremony that will take place in Navarre (Spain)

Candidates can come from any country in the world and must be nominated by: members of the Navarre Council for Culture; public institutions (national or regional governments, ministries, local councils, universities, academies and research centres, embassies, consulates), legally constituted educational, cultural and social entities, non-governmental organisations or individuals invited to submit nominations by the organisers, as well as members of the jury.
