Solidarity 2012

Terms


Purpose and cash prize.

The purpose of this award, periodic in its nature, is to highlight and recognise the work carried out by Institutions, Non-Governmental Organisations and individuals with outstanding achievements in any field related to International Development Cooperation, especially in terms of contributions made to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.
The prize is remunerated with €40,000. To receive this sum, the head of the entity or the person receiving the prize must attend the official prize ceremony.
 


Place and timeframe for the submission of nominations.

Proposals must be addressed to: Dirección General de Asuntos Sociales y Cooperación Internacional al Desarrollo, Calle González Tablas, 7 31005 Pamplona (Spain), sent by registered post, stating on the envelope Prince of Viana Prize for Solidarity. If sending by courier, this should be communicated by fax (+34 848 423 818) on the day of dispatch. Applications submitted by e-mail should be sent to: servcoopdes@cfnavarra.es.

The period for submitting nominations opens on the day after these terms are published and concludes on 11st February 2011.



Entities allowed to present nominations.

Nominations can be submitted by: members of the Navarre Council of Culture; public institutions (Governments, Ministries, Local Councils, Universities, Academies, Research Centres, Embassies, Consulates, etc.) from any country, legally constituted educational, cultural and social entities and NGOs from any country, as well as figures invited by the organisers and members of the jury.

Any nominations submitted by individuals nominating themselves or the organisation they legally represent shall be automatically rejected.

The submission of nominations for this Prize entails the full acceptance of these terms, as well as any agreements reached by the Prize Judges.
